FRAMESTORE WORK EXPERIENCE WEEK:
In the last week of October 2024, I had the opportunity to do work experience at the VFX company Framestore, where we were given a brief to create a still shot for a movie of a Kaiju destroying a city. I used Maya for this, creating the buildings and the kaiju based off of concept images I’d drawn. From this I learned a lot more about Maya and how to use lighting effectively and alsohow to add fog. Alongside this brief we also had many talks and workshops with people in the industry, and I got to have 1-1 meetings with people that worked there.
CHLOË WILSON PAID WORK:
In the summer of 2024, I worked with the music artist Chloë Wilson, making fan edits to her song to create more hype around them, as well as posting videos on her “Chloë Wilson HQ” account. I also got the opportunity to work on a lyric video/visualizer for her song “Shades of Blue”. This was a great opportunity as it helped me to get an insight into the creative roles in the music industry which is a route I could possibly go down in the future.
