About me:

My name is Laura Jane Rose, I am 17 years old and I study DA (Digital Arts) at The Brit School.

I am a motivated person that enjoys to be creative in all aspects of my work. Through this website, you will see a wide range of skills that I have gained through my hobbies of editing, drawing and animation, and also during my studies at The BRIT School, where I have so far learned about 3D modelling and visualization, concept art, graphic design, and 2D animation.

I am most passionate about motion graphics since I started teaching myself after effects in 2021 and have loved it ever since.

I am a firm believer in ‘Practice makes perfect’ as I know how much hard work it takes to improve at a skill, but I am always willing to take on something new, and I am determined to practice and learn throughout my future school and career!

Softwares I have experience in: Adobe photoshop, Adobe illustrator, Adobe after effects, Adobe animate, Maya, Unreal Engine and Figma.

Some other hobbies I have apart from work are taekwondo, singing/songwriting, sketching, sewing, and playing guitar.

I love to sing and I’m proud of reaching Grade 8 vocals with the rock school. I have had vocal lessons since the age of 11-12, and through this, I’ve been able to achieve reaching higher and lower notes as well as improving my breath control. On my last grade I received a distinction, which made all my practice so worth it. I am continuing my singing lessons in my time at BRIT also, which I am really enjoying so far!

In Taekwondo, I have gone from white belt all the way to black belt which has been an incredible journey. It is a tough and disciplined activity and when I first started it seemed almost intimidating. I persevered and I’m very glad I did, as even though it can be hard to juggle school and my own hobbies, this bit of exercise on the weekend helps to keep me fitter and motivated.
